Jordan Fry
Jordan is a native of the Pacific Northwest and is the owner and lead aquarist for CoralFrags.com and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business. Like many coral professionals, Jordan started out working with freshwater aquariums as a boy. His successes caring for and breeding freshwater fishes fired his imagination to learn more about the science behind his hobby. After graduating from high school, Jordan pursued a degree in Aquarium Science from a unique program at Oregon Coast Community College. While working toward his degree, he was offered a position at Hatfield Marine Science Center and cared for a variety of freshwater and marine animals in open and closed life support systems.
After earning his AQS degree, Jordan went on to earn an Aquaculture degree at the University of Hawaii-Hilo, where he cared for live food cultures and aquaculture systems with volumes in the hundreds of thousands of gallons. After finishing his degree, he decided to apply what he had learned working in public aquariums and world-class marine science research facilities toward the next challenge: starting his own business culturing corals and becoming an online coral retailer. These days, he applies his considerable experience and expertise to providing his clients with clean and healthy online coral frags so that they have a running start on reefing success. He still likes to get his hands wet as often as possible and personally inspects each coral frag one last time before it is shipped.
