Boise Corals and Coral Frags for Buyers Who Know Quality When They See It

Coralheads in Boise and a couple of other Idaho cities have a few stores to choose from when shopping for new additions to their coral reef displays but discriminating buyers who know what they want increasingly look for coral frags online. Most Idaho coral stores have pretty much the same frags and colonies for sale, which is fine when you’re just starting out and getting your first reef tanks going. However, once folks start to have success with small polyp stony corals, for example, they usually look to take their coral skills to the next level. They stop looking for coral stores near them and start looking for alternative sources for Boise coral frags like CoralFrags.com. And once they’ve placed an order with us, they usually place another and then another because we offer a great selection of invertebrates such as soft corals, large polyp stony (LPS) corals, and small polyp stony (SPS) corals, along with anemones and other interesting invertebrates that add color, texture and sheer enjoyment to their reef tanks.

Who We Are

We’re a small group of fish and coral geeks that took our love of aquatic life and decided to make a career out of it. Our first successes with coral displays just made us thirsty to know more, so we earned degrees in Aquarium Science while working jobs at a public aquarium and world-class marine science facility near the school. Then, we decided to take it a step further by earning degrees in Aquaculture and working at a huge aquaculture facility culturing a wide range of foods and caring for huge systems full of inverts. After finishing our degrees, we set our sights on designing and building coral quarantine and propagation systems optimized for coral growth and health and started our business selling corals to discriminating clients in Boise and throughout the rest of the country. We love what we do and our clients love getting clean, healthy corals from us that make their reef tanks dazzle.

What You Can Expect From Us

  • Quality Corals and Online Coral Frags – When we say clean coral frags and colonies, we mean it. We hate red bugs, aiptasia, flatworms, and other coral pests as much as you do and are quite painstaking about inspecting each frag in our collection multiple times before it is packed and shipped for a client’s order. We don’t want these hitchhikers in any of our systems and we most definitely don’t want them in our clients’ systems either. New arrivals to our facility are quarantined for at least 60 days before they are moved to one of our grow-out systems. Then, they are fed lavishly and kept in stable and optimal water chemistry parameters, and inspected on a daily basis. When an order is placed, each frag and colony is inspected one last time before they are packed and shipped. If there’s anything about a coral that we don’t like, we don’t ship it. It’s as simple as that.
  • Fast Shipping – Speaking of shipping, we pack and ship orders as quickly as practical but never take shortcuts in our inspection process or how carefully each order is packed. We understand very well that our reputation is on the line with each order and take extra care to ensure that each client’s order arrives in optimal condition. If it takes an extra day or two for an order to arrive, we believe that our clients understand that it is part of our commitment to them and with us, quality and care always come first.
  • Reliable and Continually Updated Information – Sharing the knowledge and expertise we gained in college and on the job has been part of our business philosophy from the very beginning. We continually post new pages on our site so that our clients are able to enjoy stunning reef tanks of their own and avoid many of the mistakes that drive people away from the hobby. Each of the articles is written by the professional aquarists on our team on a wide range of topics, such as water chemistry and management, life support design and optimization, lighting, coral feeding, and other useful topics.
